I am on my Nest is Empty Journey and I have started to implement by goals. I recently went to my favorite store @Karma and Luck with a good friend of mine who’s Nest is also Empty. We both purchased the same green string bracelet with a moon and stars charm on it. The symbolism for us is New Beginnings that we will go through together. After you purchase an item @Karma and Luck they place your item in a very large white crystal bowl. My friend and I placed our hands on the outside of the bowl but did not touch the bowl. The singing bowl begins it hypnotic sound and the manager of the store asked if we could feel the vibrations. The Vibrations were radiating through my hands and arms. She then said I want you to think of Good Intentions you want to set for yourself. Chills went up my arms as I set my Good Intentions. I actually felt refreshed and it gave me the energy I needed to conquer this Empty Nest thing. If you would like to see the video of this experience just head on over to my Instagram page.
I literally had to stop myself from purchasing one of their beautiful Singing Bowls, I was so energized by the experience. I also love that I was able to share this experience with my friend. Later that night I began to think about what the manager said about Setting Good Intentions. Darren Hardy said, You have to change your habits to create a different outcome.” I also think that this can fall into the category of Self Sabotaging yourself. Change can be very hard and sometimes we say we want to move on but we create an environment in our lives that is not conducive to this. I want you to ask yourself right now are you open and ready to set Good Intentions for yourself?
Let me give you some ways that you can begin to start Good Intentions in your life. It is important that once you do set your Intentions, you truly believe in it. Intentions may just pop in your mind as you start to think about it or you might struggle to set a Good Intention for yourself. I always believe that your environment has a huge impact on our thought process and creativity. Let’s start here with creating the right environment for you to sit with yourself to identify good and realistic Intentions. Close your eyes for a moment and think of a place that is not too far from home that you can find this type of creative environment. It might just be as easy as sitting in a coffee shop with a good cup of coffee to get the creative juices flowing. I love being outside with my music playing through my earbuds. I have a lot of outdoor places that lend to this type of environment. So now you have envisioned the perfect place to go to help you move into a healthy future. I want you to put some time into this process before setting your Intentions. It is always easier to start out first with one Intention but you can have many. I feel that I stay more focused on the task if I take small steps with the Goals that I set for myself.
If you are still struggling let me give you some ideas of Setting Good Intentions. Make sure that your Intentions are positive.
1. I intend for today to think positively
2. I intend to start a healthier a lifestyle
3. I have Intentions to start the process of creating my own business
4. My Intentions are to start meditating more frequently
5. My Intentions are to release toxic individuals from my life
6 I have intended on starting each day with a motivational quote
7. My intentions in my life are to create a Hygge atmosphere in my home. (Season 3: The Journey: Episode 97: Do you live a Hygge Life?)
8. Intentions for myself are to listen to music more
9. Intentions for myself are to make my work environment more conducive to productivity
10. My Intentions for myself are to think about how I will work on seeing myself in a more positive light.
These are just some good examples for you to get your juices flowing in a more positive direction in your life. Good Intentions can give you immediate gratification and some require you setting a plan in place for yourself. The best way to start your planning once you have identified your Good Intention is by looking at the steps it will take you to accomplish this. Try not to let a long list get you overwhelmed to the point that you self sabotage your goals. In Therapy Groups we always encourage one day and one step at a time. I know this might sound like a cliche but this coping mechanism will set you up for success. If you still feel overwhelmed then start out with a smaller Good Intention first, to gain confidence in yourself. These are the building blocks for success and to move your life forward in a positive motion. I personally like to create an experience for myself like the Singing Bowl ceremony at @Karma and Luck. I now have my Good Intentions set and I also have a great memory of starting a new chapter in my life. BE GOOD TO YOURSELF AND SET GOOD INTENTIONS!
