DO YOU GLITCH?

The modern world is full of technology all around us.  The majority of people have smartphones, I pads or personal computers.  Technology begins to glitch after longterm use.  This is when we decide to hit the power off button and Reboot our devices.  Technology needs to be shut off every now and again to work optimally.

Humans are just like technology.  If we don’t take breaks or have downtime we all begin to glitch.  First, it starts with little glitches and before you know it you are not working or coping optimally.  Maybe, you begin to drop things a lot, your memory begins to lapse, you become disorganized, you are more irritable, overly tired, increased anxiety, social anxiety and physically exhausted.  These are just some ways that our bodies begin to Glitch with overload and a lack of coping skills.

The holidays are upon us and this becomes notably one of the biggest times of year that people begin to Glitch. Holiday preparations, gift buying, finances, holiday parties, holiday dinners, getting together with friends, gift exchanges, holiday decorating, baking and holiday traditions.  I am truly getting anxiety just typing all of this in.  Geez, I really need to get started! I see myself glitching already.

I know we are all busy and some of these things we just have to get done.  The way to prevent yourself from Glitching during this Holiday Season is to Reboot Yourself.  Just like your devices we need to turn the power button off and Reboot.  Rebooting Yourself is a way of taking a time out from all of the the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season. So now I want you to take a deep breath in and let’s figure out how you are going to Reboot Yourself. If you go to my Instagram Page on my Reels I have a short video of one way that I enjoy  Rebooting myself.  Close your eyes for a minute and envision things that you love to do.  I want you to include ideas that are lengthy and others that only take a short amount of time.  It is important to have Rebooting Tools right at your finger tips when you feel yourself starting to Glitch.  In addition to having Rebooting Tools at your command you must also incorporate planned times to Reboot Yourself daily.

A side effect to Glitching is difficulty sleeping.  No sleep, means that you have no chance at working to be the best of your abilities.  Sleep is our biggest Rebooting Tool that we have and must be done daily to survive. Bodies need to have time to Heal and Reboot internally and mentally,  If you are having difficulty sleeping try putting on @insightTimer and listen to Sleep Meditation prior to you going to bed.  Turn off all technology including Smart Phones and the television.  This is your time to Reboot Yourself so that you can have a productive nights rest. You may decide on a Guided Sleep Meditation or Meditative Sleep Music.

I really could go on discussing the many ways in which we can Glitch and ways too Reboot Ourselves.  The long and short of it is that you need to know what will work for you to attain that release when you Reboot Yourself.  Machines, cars and humans all break down if we don’t take a timeout away from all responsibilities. Rebooting Ourselves so that we can accomplish goals and feel more productive in our lives.

I think it’s time for me to go and Reboot Myself and have a nice quiet lunch outside by myself.  I am getting that sense of relief just thinking about my time to Reboot.  Take a listen to Episode 93 of my podcast as an accompaniment to my blog and Instagram Posts. December is a long month full of possibilities so I suggest you get started and Reboot!
